What is HealthyStart®?
The HealthyStart® System is a noninvasive, drug-free approach designed to address Sleep Disordered Breathing (SDB) and straighten children’s teeth without braces. It involves a series of oral appliances that promote nasal breathing and naturally widen the dental arches, developing the jaw naturally, all while straightening teeth. These appliances address a range of symptoms of SDB, such as mouth breathing, inability to focus, academic challenges, bedwetting, snoring, nightmares, underdeveloped jaw, underdeveloped airway, and more. An initial exam and evaluation can be done with Dr. Malek as early as 2-3 years old. Some form of treatment can be started around the same time depending on the child’s symptoms.

How does the HealthyStart® System work?
The HealthyStart® System helps guide the natural eruption of your child’s teeth. The soft, comfortable, removable devices gently guide the teeth into proper alignment as they come in. At what age can my child start the treatment?
